Know your strengths when writing content
So yeah, content. This is the crux of all our efforts, and if we don't write something useful to others, the game's up. I know myself all too well and I know that I will have to come up with all the tricks, plans and schedules to get me to write something substantial when I would much prefer to be tweaking my analytics profile or tweeting some gem. With the Spanish Examples site the plan is to get to a critical mass of pages before even starting to try to promote it. If it is going to be of any use to anyone studying Spanish then 10 pages of useful examples must be written before I do anything else.
I chose this type of static resource, rather than doing some standard blog structure, because I know that I can only write when I have the mental energy and I have failed to stick to regular blog deadlines before now. I write best in spurts, so a static but ever-growing Spanish study resource suits my personality.
I have included a mini side blog on the site chronicling my own progress learning Spanish, but this is really a way to put pressure on myself to study more. OK, off to write a blog post there, now that I am inspired.
